I have just found a problem with my Vista x86 laptop. I was running a Microsoft Security Essentials scan, and it seemed to be taking an incredible amount of time on each file in a folder called "HP Games" which was bloatware on this laptop when purchased. I thought well, I will just delete this whole folder, i have never played any of these games anyway. Silly me!

When you open Windows Explorer (which runs slower than I think it should be), and go down through the tree to the HP Games folder, if you try to delete it, the explorer goes into "not responding" mode and you have to use task manager to get out of it. Opening the HP Games folder reveals a bunch of game folders and an uninstaller, but if you try to run or open any of them, the same thing happens. I am able to open and delete other folders and sub-folders in the "programs" folder, so that is not an issue.

Here is what I have tried so far:

Ran CCleaner - including registry clean - no luck
Ran Unlocker - causes the same freezing
    Ran DeleteDr - ditto

    I am open to suggestions.
