I have a computer that when you open a screen, the screen will not close or go away. You can open other screens and they will not close. You can reopen the screen but it will not close. Task Manager shows no applications running, as if they were closed. Attached are the processes running, if anyone see something that is not correct. I have tried resetting the display properties, removed and cleaned the memory, removed cpu and reinstalled. Does not start doing this right after reboot. Takes a few minutes, 5-10,before it starts acting this way.[attachment=89509:Task1.JPG][attachment=89510:task2.JPG]

I think we may have figured out the problem. We switched to a different user and tried to get to internet and got a porn site, checked the proxy settings and found that the proxy had a check mark in it. unchecked and internet worked correctly. So far that user has been able to open and close the windows as they are suppose to. Guess something has changed the normal users settings, not sure what might be corrupt in normal user so I am going to set up a new one for them to use.

Try a program like process explorer, it is a little more capable than task manager.

In task manager, try closing down explorer.exe process, then re-enble it.
It also apears that you have quite alot of running processes going on, 60 may be too much. See if you can free some of them
up. I normally have 30 something running at any one time in XP.
Also run an antivirus and antimalware scan on your computer.
