    Dear Loungers,

I have Access 2007, but my client is still using Outlook 2003. Should AddFromOutlook work in this situation? The client has been playing with the 2007 Access Example databases and got very excited about this BUT the AddFromOutlook buttons don't seem to work and I suspect it might be because of the version of Outlook.

    Any ideas?

    thank you............................. liz

To add to what RG suggests, what the example database really does is provide a button that runs a macro that does the same thing as the button on the External Data ribbon that you get when you click more on the Import group and choose Outlook. That capability has existed for some time in Access, and is available in Access 2003 when working with Outlook 2003 - you have to use the menus to get to it however. But I would suggest you avoid trying to use Access 2007 and Outlook 2003 - there are all sorts of potential complications.
