Just got a brand new Dell with Windows 7. I loaded in MS 2000 - no problems. However when I set up MS Outlook ( I copied the settings from the old machine) it won't send/receive emails. I get an error message 'can't open address book need file WABDLL.
Any thoughts from anyone.? Am I doing the wrong thing by not upgrading to Office 2010 Student? I'm trying to stick with what I know.
    Hoping to hear from someone

    Hi Whealie,

While the other apps in Office 2000 will run in Windows 7, Outlook 2000 will not run in Windows 7.

By the way, Microsoft ended extended support for Office 2000 on July 14, 2009, so there will never be any more security updates for the suite.
