Is there any way to import WR1 files (created in Symphony v2.2) into Excel 2003?

Wow, that brings back some old memories. Sorry, I do not know the answer about Excel 2003 but I could bring them into Lotus 123.
I know that does not help does it?
Thanks for the nostalgic memories though, Excel Version 5.0 could import Lotus 123 files too, BTW I think that it was Excel 5.0 that had the option to use leading zeros.
Just curious, how old are those files?

The files are from a research project in the late 90s. I have downloaded the current Lotus Symphony but for some strange reason it won't accept them.

I have just found a M'soft Knowledge Base article KB938810 which suggests that the problem may be linked to the Office 2003 Service Pack 3 update.which prevented certain old file types being accessed by Office 2003. There are links to files which will reverse this but when I save them and double-click on them, nothing happens. An hourglass icon appears and that is all. Trying to open the files still results in being told ir is blocked because of my registry policy settings.
