Is there a safe source to download Sharp G.726 Audio (45) codec? When I tried to play a .wav file, I got the following message:

“Windows Media Player cannot play the file (or cannot play either the audio or video portion of the file) because the Sharp G.726 Audio (45) codec is not installed on your computer.
The missing codec might be available to download from the Internet. “

I was able to play the .wav file about 6 months ago but got the above message a few days ago. Puzzling!

Installed in my win XP are:
    -Windows media player 11
    -Windows media format 11 runtime

    Thank you
    Spec

Consider WinAmp for music and VLC player for video. Both are free and will play just about anything.

Safe: Sharp G.726 Audio Codec 1.1.0.1
