If you have windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit, can you download and install XP Mode and Virtual PC. Or will they only work on the higher end versions of windows 7 64 bit? Thanks in advance for any help.
    Cheers John.

John, you have to be running Windows 7 Professional or higher to download and run XP Mode, as that supplies you with a licensed copy of XP to use. If you have an XP retail edition that is not currently installed on another computer, you can set up your own XP virtual machine using Virtual PC or VMWare and other such software.

As Gerald states Win 7 Pro or higher can use the XP mode. How To Geek goes into detail of setting up something similar on Home Premium. Take a look.
