I have a form that I created in Access 2007. When I'm in a field and want to find a particular record, I enter Ctrl-F. The default setting is to Match Whole Field. As I usually want to match any part of a field, I change the option to the latter. Is there a way to make Access default to Select Any Part of Field?

Next, when I open my form, it defaults to the filtered view. Can I make Access default to the Unfiltered view when I open my form? Thanks!

In Access Options (Office..Access Options...Advanced) change the Default Find/Replace Behaviour behaviour to General Search.

For the second question, try setting the "filter on load" property of the form to No.
