I need a running set of page numbers on each page of a document. (i.e., the document is 100 pages with numerous sections. I want every page to be numbered consecutively in the header AND I want the footer to have Page 2 on page three of the document with Exhibit A-1, etc at the end.) I can set the sections to number okay in the footer, but I don't know how to get the consecutive page numbers in the Header.

    Regards,

    d

It's apparently a bit tricky listing the actual physical page numbers rather than the logical (restartable) page numbers. There appears to be a solution in this old thread: [topic=634911]Incrementing number/footer (Word XP) (Lounge forum: Word Processing)[/topic]. Does it work?
