I have users who miss/ignore the warning that their login password is expiring. How can you easily change the password for Windows 7 once it has expired short of having the admin reset the password?

    Thanks

See Password Reset Disk Windows 7 - How To Create a Windows 7 Password Reset Disk - Windows 7 Password. Note: this only works for local accounts. If your computer is on a domain, a network administrator must reset your domain logon password.

Through some experimentation I find the following results:

For a time the user is notified that the password is expired at login. The user can change the password by clicking OK and being delivered to the standard change password dialog.

If the user clicks cancel enough times they are locked out and only a reset by the domain administrator will work.

Thanks for your responses to my original question.
