I've found that bullet points do not format correctly unless they are in a content placeholder. But I've been unable to create a content placeholder in a slide that does not already have one available. How do I do this in Powerpoint 2007?

    Thanks

You need to create a new custom layout in slide master view

Duplicate the closest existing > Add Placehoder and draw in the size you need

In normal view you should see this layout available in Home tab . Layout
