    Upgrading from office 97 to 2000 (SR-2)

    Hi,
I have three pcs, two of which run office 2000 and one of which runs office 97. I want to upgrade the 3rd pc to office 2000. Word is my main app. I've got two questions: first, can I install office 2000 over 97, or, do I have to uninstall 97 first? Secondly, is there anyway to preserve my customizations of word97, especially the autotext and autocorrect features, so that I don't have to reinvent the wheel when using 2000? I apologize to the forum, since I'm sure this has been dealt with on prior postings, but after about an hour of searching fruitlessly thought I'd send this post.

    Thanks very much.

Sorel, I recall a post some time ago that suggested uninstalling O97 then installing O2k, but I nmust say I have installed O2k over the top of O97 without any difficulties. This process enables you to retain your settings such as Autotext etc..

    I say go for it.
