    Which Event?

Who can tell me which event fires when I click the Word 97 X (Close button in upper right corner)? I know it's not the FileExit event. But which?

Next question: I need to trap that event. Is there anything else I need to know (once we discover the event name)?

Many pre-response thanks. And many more if you can come thru for little 8-year-old Kevin here.

Which X. The Word one, or the ActiveDocument one?

Anyway, this is what you need:

The Application_Quit event in other Words.

    Good Luck

P.S. I just see you have responded ;-)

    Bingo!

That's the compass pointer I needed. I think a better insight (clearer, anyway) to app events is

    [urlhttp://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/MacrosVBA/AppClassEvents.htm</A>

but your MS reference was all I need to jog the ol' thinker loose. Thanks.
