    I am current using PPT2003 SP3

We have a number of old PPT presentations, which were prepared in Powerpoint 4,.0 and which we are unable to open in PPT2003 or PPT2007

We keep seeing a message "you are attempting to open a file type that is blocked by your registry policy setting".

Can anyone suggest how to convert the files to a current version of PPT?

Thanks John. That is useful. I see that it mentions a registry fix for PPT2003. I found and ran that and it solved my problems for now. This reference is useful for when we upgrade to O2007. (My employer always stays one version behind!)
