    auto links to join workroups
    could someone tell me how to write a batch file or some process that will automatically join me to a workgroup file? I

    Look in Help for "Command Line". There are command line options you can use to specify workgroup, user, and even password (not recommend, as it somewhat subverts security). You can then create a shortcut on desk to open Access, adding the necessary options.

    I don't understand why you want to switch workgroup (system.mdw) files around. The basic things that are stored in those are userids and groupids. All permissions are stored in the individual application database. If you are wanting to give people different capabilities in different databases, that would be done from the individual apps. When you start switching workgroups, you discover your administration task becomes much more complex. Did I miss something somewhere?
