I have installed the FF 3.6.X update on three different LapTops, a number of different modification levels, and my mouse wheel doesn't scroll on any of the PCs with any version of 3.6. I checked my mouse settings, and all is correct. Mouse wheel scrolls in non-Firefox applications, and online IE. Mouse wheel worked fine with 3.5.X versions of FF.

I have returned to 3.5.X after trying 3.6.X each time and the mouse wheel scrolls again just fine.

Is this a problem with FF or with my LapTops, and how do I fix? [/font]

When you have Firefox open.Click on;Tools then Options then on the General tab.Under Browsing make sure Use Autoscrolling & Use Smooth scrolling are checked. Then click on ok.Just maybe some how these two items didn't get checked in as defaults.

It appears these options are under Tools, Options, Advanced Tab, General. Sorry for the correction.

Updated to Use Smooth scrolling and installed FF 3.6 again. This time the mouse wheel works just fine.

    Thanks for the suggestion.

I have install FF 3.6.X on a third LapTop with the change to use smooth scrolling and on this third PC the wheel does not work. I have backed down to 3.5.X and the wheel works find.

Any other ideas that I might try ?
