Using the Windows 7 Operating System, how can I change the default font in WordPad?

Any suggestions you can give me will certainly be appreciated.

    Thanks.

    Hi novice,

While there is no way to actually change the default font in WordPad, there is a workaround that you might want to check out in this Microsoft Answers forum thread.

Thanks so much, Gerald. Using this simple WordPad program becomes more and more complicated! I forwarded your answer to my student.

An easier way is to replace that mediocre app with Edit Pad Lite. It is a free app and has amazing flexibility, almost like a stripped down version of Word.
