Spell checking in Word 2007 has stopped working. So far the following actions have been done:

    1) repaired installation - no go
    2) Deleted registry key as stated on previous post on this forum, - HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Shared
    Tools\ProofingTools\1.0\Override\en-US - no go
    3) Made sure language is correct along with spelling options checked properly - all ok

Any other ideas as to what problem may be and how to solve?

    Thank you

You might try renaming this registry key
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ord
    to something like
    HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\12.0\W ordOLD
and see if that resolves the problem - it appears to have fixed the situation for some users. Be sure Word and Outlook are closed down before you do that. Let us know whether or not that works.

Thank you for the suggestion. Just tried and that does not work either. Auto correct works but when I misspell a word it does nothing.
