hope i explain this right-! on my laptop ,using win7 Pro-64 bit-i use run(from Start/Run)if i insert a site,example-www.google.com, or www.nero.com,i get error--- http://www.google.com---- application not found--thats exact error wording-same error when trying any site-yet if i type in msconfig,it goes to it.
On desktop using start/run i can go to any of those sites, using win 7-64 bit Home Premium-both puters all updated and NO OTHER PROBLEMS
    Thanks for any ideas/help/suggestions.

    Andy,

Have you tried typing the web address directly into the Search Box instead of Run. This actually saves one step. This works on my PCs. Run also works, so I'm not sure what might be going on, but try search and see what happens. This thread shows the way I handle Shortcuts and Links, etc on my Taskbar. Take a look.

Typing the above in my Windows 64 bit pro's "run" box works fine for me.
    Is IE your default browser?

    More information is needed.
