I have a table which has a column (hostname). In that column, the hostnames are duplicated many times. How can I get rid of all the duplicates rows?

    regards

Are all the other fields identical across the records with duplicate hostnames?
If you to delete records, then how do you decide which to keep, and which to delete? or does it not matter?
    Regards

It doesn't matter. I just need to find out how many unique identifiers I have.

    Alan,

If you create a query based on the table but with only the field that you want the unique list of and then in the query propertues make Unique Values = "yes" you should get what you want.
