I'm trying to set up Outlook 2010 on Windows 7 system and after entering server info etc., everytime i check email (F9) it sends messages but doesn't show messages and then kicks out the yelloe triangle with error 80040154.
Defender is off, firewall is off, Adaware is off and I'm getting pissed off....is there something i'm missing?

2010-09-27 20:35It's unusual for messages to send but not be received. Was this an upgrade installation or a new installation? You might want to delete and re-create the mail account. (Back up your mail files first...) Originally Posted by DJH22

Also, if you have your anti-virus solution scanning emails try disabling that part.
Have you tried running Outlook with addins disabled (aka Safe mode)?
