Using Office 2007 on Vista machine, I have created several distribution lists. When editing them I have clicked the DELETE button thinking the one record would be deleted. Instead the whole list is deleted. MS knows of the issue and the file is recoverable provided you catch it before closing Outlook. I am not always that lucky, however. Does anyone know of a way to fix that issue? Is there a third party patch or work around available? Has it been fixed in Office 2010? Any suggestions are helpful. Thanks!

Open your address book, highlight the address you wish to delete. Right click and delete that address.

They should be recoverable through your Deleted Items folder, unless you have it set to clean up and delete everything on close. What about using Tools > Recover Deleted Items from the menu?
