In the screen shot there are 3 DVD icons on my desktop.

The one on the right is my normal DVD icon..

The other two, appear after I burn a DVD and remain there until I delete them....

What causes this to happen because I have never had it happen when I was running XP ????

    Thanks

What software are you using to burn the DVD? Do you start that software by double-clicking the 'Compact Disc' icon? The DVD burning software is probably placing those extra icons there, and must likely because your desktop is the 'current working directory'. Perhaps changing the 'Start In' directory for the 'Compact Disc' shortcut will help - change it to your temp directory (c:\users\your-user-name\AppData\local\temp).

By the way, icons on the desktop show up from one of two folder: c:\users\your-user-name\Desktop and c:\users\Public\Desktop. Exactly which folder contains these icons?
