I have IE 8 on a Windows 7, 64 bit machine. The problem I am having is that quite often when I open my e-mail (hotmail,) or other pages, for some reason the page will automatically scroll down to around the half way, or midpoint of the page. (This happens every time, with ALL pages in hotmail.) Any ideas or suggestions as to why this is happening, or how I can stop this annoyance will be greatly appreciated.

Hi Bob, I suggest using Windows Live Mail (I personally don't like 2011 version) as its easier to use. http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/w...ive-essentials

I do not have any ideas at present as to why the page scrolling issue, but as RR states, you can sign onto your Hotmail account, or most other accounts using Windows Live Mail or several other 3rd party email clients to check your email without having to open a web browser for doing so.

You also may wish to explore IE 9 beta (this is a beta release so there are potentially still some bugs). It is working surprisingly well for me. I keep switching back and forth from IE 9 beta to Chrome 6. I wrote off FF when it would not install or run nicely at version 3.6.10.
