    Dear Loungers,

I have a form that when completed "opens" another form, in all likelyhood this form is already open therefore the only thing to do is get any new data, currently being achieved by using "open". This causes the screen to "flash" whhile the reload is happening. I seem to remeber I can stop this.... but I can't rember how?

    Try wrapping the code in:
    Code:
    DoCmd.Echo False

    your code goes here

    DoCmd.Echo True

Microsoft is at it again...Why oh Why can't they use ScreenUpdating like they do in Excel?
And before anyone throws out the quote about consistency the whole quote begins with "A Foolish Consistency..."
I wouldn't consider consistency within one Office Suite very foolish.

    MBarron, thanks for the info.
