We have a MFC printer that functions as our fax machine.

I would like to take faxes that come in and receive them on my windows 7 machine & then route the fax as a pdf to an email address.

I assume I can put the phone line onto the Win7 machine & use scan & fax to receive the fax.

Is it possible to do this? What software would anyone recommend?

Also, I do not want to use one of the web based fax services, because we don't want to change our fax number.

    Any suggestions would be good.

Its for Vista but I think the principle is the same in that you will need a fax modem or fax server. So if you have a modem and its a fax modem built in you should be able to make it work, if not, you'll have to aquire and install the appropriate hardware first.
