When I start up Outlook, it opens without any error message, but then is "frozen" - unit I right-click the task bar icon, and select "Microsoft Outlook". Then all seems OK.

I ran ScanPST and it found errors that I had it fix, but still the same ting happens.

What would cause this, and how might I fix it?

    Regards,
    Chuck Billow

Joe, I just found it! It! It was the Hotmail Connector. Got no idea of the how or what, but when I was watching the Outlook data file folder (location of the PST's) I saw the Hotmail temp file creating and then deleting, and then creating...

I uninstalled the connector, deleted the Hotmail files, re-installed, and all was fine.

    Very strange.

    Thanks,
    Chuck

Glad you found it. I've never seen that behavior with the connector. Thanks for posting your solution.

I've never had any trouble either Joe. I was worried that I'd be re-installing Office, so I for sure am glad it was pretty clear cut. I've used the connector for a while and never had any troubles like this. But at least the solution was simple.
