When I associate headings with numbered outlines in Word, Word automatically detects the language of the document and adjusts the words in teh heading accordingly for French and and Spanish. Thus, when I select "One, Two, Three" for heading 1, in the document, "Uno, dos, tres" automatically appears if the document is written in Spanish adn "Un, deux, trois" appears for French. For Arabic, however, "One, Two, Three" remains. Why is this and is there a way around it?

That shouldn't be happening by default. Do you have 'Detect language automatically' turned on?
