Is it possible to use Windows Virtual Mode for anything other than XP Mode? For example, to run another instance of Win 7 or Vista.

    Hi Zepe,

You can run some editions of Windows 7, Vista, and XP SP3 as a Guest OS in Windows Virtual PC. See here for MS requirements. You would also need to own a license to any of the Windows OSes to be able to install them in the Virtual PC.

Note the supported Guest operating systems in Windows Virtual PC on the requirements page.

Check out this link for MS Frequently Asked Questions on Windows Virtual PC.

There are other options available besides Windows Virtual PC, such as VMWare here.
