I just had to use the built-in print-to-PDF driver in Word 2007 for the first time, and was quite happy with it except for one thing - I'm in the UK so using A4 paper, and it defaults to the US 'letter' size.

All my settings are correct on my machine and in Office (UK, A4 everywhere I can find) but I have to change it every time I want to print - and it is important, because it cuts off any part of the A4 document that doesn't fit on the letter size paper!

How do I change the default, please?

Update - a similar question asked elsewhere provided an answer (albeit not "how to change the default paper the pdf driver uses"); under Office > Word Options > Advanced, scroll down to the 'print' section and UNcheck the 'scale content to A4 or 8.4" x 11.5" paper sizes' box. Yes, UNcheck it! The scaling option was what was causing the cropped printing.

    Thanks to Hans V, again!
