Is it possible to access an Exchange account from multiple PC's (work & home) and see the same information (messages & calendar) regardless of which PC I use?

I assume you are familiar with Outlook Web Access (OWA) and prefer to use Outlook itself. To connect Outlook on a home computer with an Exchange Server that is behind a firewall, you may need to have relevant permissions and use a VPN connection. But assuming you have permission (and any necessary VPN software) to connect, there's no reason you cannot open the mailbox on a second or third installation of Outlook.

(Some Exchange servers may be configured to permit RPC-over-HTTPS connections without the necessity of establishing a VPN connection, but I don't think that is the norm.)
