I am able to watch streaming movies on my broadband internet connection on my desktop and wireless laptop (HP Pavillion Entertainment 64 bit Windows 7) on my LAN. I would like to watch the same movies on my 50" big screen TV in the other room. What kind of devices and attachments do I need to make this happen. My TV and laptop have HDMI inputs?

If your lap top has an HDMI port buy a good quality HDMI-HDMI cable, plug one end into your laptop and the other into your tv, in win 7 control panel click display, change display settings, select multi display drop down box to expand these displays, click OK. You may need to change the resolution of your tv if that is supported in your tv's settings. If your lap top has a DVI-D port buy an DVI-D-HDMI cable.
Does your TV have an ethernet port? do you have a DVD or Bluray player with an ethernet port?

Many HDTVs have VGA inputs as well. HDMI is prefered if your laptop supports it.
