I am printing on 5.5 x 8.5 inch paper. I set the paper size in Word 2007 (on Windows 7) on the Page Layout tab>Size>More Paper Sizes. The print preview shows the correct size paper.

When I go to print it, my HP printer gives an error "mismatched paper size".

I notice that when I go to print, the Print Dialog > Properties button has a paper quality tab, with paper size settings that still say 8.5 x 11. I changed that to the custom size, but it says the custom size will not be available until I close out the properties dialog and re-open it. But when i do that the custom size settings that I entered are lost.

So what is the correct way to set Word for a custom paper size?

    Thanks

On another computer running Windows Vista and Office 2003, I did the same paper size settings, and those changes were accepted and it printed correctly. So the problem is only on the newer setup with Office 2007 and Windows 7.
