I have a small computer shop & in the short time since the update of AVG 2011 I have seen
ten computers that were 'broken' by the update. On the majority of these machines they go into a boot loop
upon beginning the update or immediately thereafter. Doing a chkdsk r & then p usually gets me into Windows, but not always.
There-upon I remove AVG,do a registry repair & defrag. I then install Avast, the free version. Use to install AVG exclusively. No more.
There lack of response has scared me away after many years of use.
