    Hi,

I am using Windows 7 Professional. How do I lock in to a given position my desktop icons? They move to different positions after several startups. Thank you.

When right clicking on the desktop...
Uncheck "auto arrange icons" and they should go and stay where you want them.

Invest a little time and energy in a well thought out BACKUP regimen and you will have minimal down time, and headache.

    Clint,

I unchecked auto arrange icons, and it seems to work. Thank you.

    KerteszAdam,

Thanks for the link to Icon Restorer. I will look it up and see how it works.

    Happy holidays....
