Upgraded PC a couple of months back, now getting round to recyling/getting rid of the old one - but I've forgotten the password to get me through the Windows front page (it's the only user profile, so can't get in as administrator or anything). Any advice on how to discover/reset my password?
    Thanks

There are a number of password recovery utilities. A good free one is password recovery CD.

    cheers, Paul

Do you need anything on the old PC? If not, you could simply wipe out the disk. If you have a OS installation disk you could have the installer reformat the drive. Or if you have a recovery disk, or if the old PC had a recovery partition, you restore the disk. If you don't have a Windows installation disk (or cannot borrow one from someone) you could download a Linux Live CD and let it do the reformatting. And I image there are utilities that you could burn to a CD that you could boot from and wipe the drive.
