I've had this little window pop up telling me I have updates for my computer.

When I download the update it starts to install it says I have a different version of essentials.

In reading the description of this update I don't use any of those so my question is how do I remove the update notification so it doesn't tell me to update everyday?

    Ron, Welcome to the Lounge.

Right click on the offered update and choose Hide. The update will not be offered again unless you Unhide it.

Glad it solved your problem. Sometimes it's the little stuff that causes the most grief.

I have had problems with KB2434419 but they seem different, even opposite, to some of the other contributors. When I check my update history I see many successful installations of KB2434419 also numerous failed attempts. If there are not several different versions of KB2434419 all with the same designation (which seems unlikely) then this is just clogging up my computer and possibly giving me no advantage. On another site I have seen a comment that it is messing up Hotmail/Outlook. Perhaps I should get rid of ALL copies or should I keep just one. How do I stop repeated installations.

This is an extremely old thread and this question has long since most likely been resolved.

In your case, if you delete all copies of this update. it will most likely show up again as a new update which will give you the latest version.
