    1) For the past month or so, MANY of the sites I go to show in various sizes a medium blue circle with a large white arrow pointing to the right.
I can't be the only one with this.
When I HOVER the cursor over the circle, I get a message "to download a plugin".
I am sure this is NOT a scam.
I have typed in the name of the sites DIRECTLY ie PCWorld, etc. and have gotten the same circle as in email articles and links.

I "think" I am missing some sort of Java or Flash or Adobe plugins.

    Suggestions ???
Am I on the right track ??

    2) It occurred to me the other day - what is the REAL purpose of WINGDINGS ?
    WHO uses them ?
Other than using them in cartoons for vulgar language where ordinarily they use @#$*&$#, what is the purpose since basically all fonts have them ??

My MAIN question is number 1 above, but any comments appreciated.
    Thanks in advance.

What browser, other browsers do the same? Whole page is just the symbol or just a frame has the symbol and the rest is ok?
Is it the pre-load commercial page of PCWorld or the main page proper?

Wngdings...how about...an attempt at creating a symbolic alphabet cuz some dude was really romantic about the Egyptian hieroglyphs and said to him or herself, hey wouldn't it be cool?
