Just a little item that I find annoying.

I regularly hide columns for ease of entering data. But sometimes I forget when printing, and then have to reprint after unhiding. Or worse, I forget that I already entered the information in the hidden column and start to re-enter the information in a new column. While I could blame either item on OF syndrome, I still would like to make it harder to ignore.

The hidden columns are (sort of) noticeable courtesy of the wider column separator at the top of the columns. But clearly visible it ain't! Is there any way to make the presence of hidden columns more visible? Say, make the divider red? Or flashing orange (well, maybe not flashing).

There is a FREE Excel Add-in that offers many, many Excel features......
    Welcome to ASAP Utilities

One of the features is "View and manage hidden rows and columns"

In the pic below, there are several rows/columns hidden. ASAP will show the hidden rows/columns and allow you to pick and choose which rows/columns you want to unhide.

Here it is after unhiding all columns/rows ....

    Ah, Sigh

And Tim: Thanks for the utility. It has some useful stuff. But for me, I would have to REMEMBER to use it and that is my problem.

For the printing issue, why don't you trap the Printing event and add "unhide" code for the columns in the print area ?

I'm not sure there's anything that can be done about you forgetting what column you are typing in

Oh, and there's no P in hamster
