I'm astounded by the lack of interest.

The mobile world is ruled by Android and iOS, WinMo is way back as an also-ran at this point. Many of us have no intention of moving backward.

That being said, the Mobile forum here is very slow anyway, you'll probably see much more activity on an MS site that supports WimMo.

Windows Phone 7 is a significant departure from WinMO 6.5 & earlier. WP7 is a worthy competitor to Android & IOS. Even more so if Microsoft follows up with updates on a regular and frequent basis. Equating WP7 & WinMo is a waste of time. In any event WP7 is still a small player in the mobile world.

The term "WimMo" was meant to be generic. If it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck...you get the picture. I couldn't care less about equating them, I was mearly trying to impart why there was little activity in this forum.

Now that I have one I agree with you. all though it may not be the "In" phone, The Windows7 phone is IMHO awesome. I love it.
I was showing it to my brother over Christmas and he also liked it.
    Thanks John

Probably 2012 will be the do or die year for Windows Phone 7. We will see how it goes. I think Windows Phone 7 provides freedom from Apple (which I can stand, maybe because I like to hold my phone the way I see fit) and some relief from the mess that Android is. I am hoping to buy a Windows Phone 7 phone this year, but I am waiting for Nokia models to be available in my country.

Yea, I'd like to see one of those as well. But I gotta tell ya. I'm only into this thing for about 2 weeks now and I'm still finding things that it can do, and some things it can't do as well.
I do find that the battery life is somewhat bothersome.
    Thanks John
