    Synchronizing 2 PCs with Palm/Outlook

I would love to know a simple, foolproof way to copy my task list from my
office machine to my home machine. I currently have a Palm IIIxe running
Frankling Planner for Outlook, and I can't tell you how miserable it is each
time I synch from one machine to the other -- either I have numerous
(hundreds) of duplicates on both machines (that quickly become
quadruplicates, etc. growing geometrically), or I have to delete the dupes
manually throughout (no, Undupe doesn't catch them all, or even most). I
would rather do my synch, then overwrite the task list with a copy from the
other machine. Then I know it is exactly what I was working on at the other
location and not full of dupes.

    Can you help?

Have you thought about using a web based calendar? my.palm.com can sync with both computers plus your palm pilot.

Thanks for the suggestion. However, in addition to synchronizing the calendar, there is also the task list and contacts. Is there a way to synch all three? With the appropriate alarms? Note that I'm using Franklin Planner for Outlook and the Palm, as well as Datebook IV on my Palm.

I think everything should sync. You might want to check the preferences when you set up your account. I know that when I set up my friends account for her and her secretary the task list and contacts were synced. Everything synced with outlook. You might want to try to see if this will work for both computers.

What about programing the hotsync to override the desktop on a once only sync then use this feature when you have updates to be done. when i get back to the work PC i just put my palm into the cradle and set the hotsync software to Palm to overide PC. then if i make changes during the time at the desk i set it up for a PC to overide Palm again. when i get home same thing. palm overides PC. and so on!
    Works for me.
