I uplugged and moved my computers. My laptop win7 lost my xp desktop. My other win7 desktop did not lose it. I checked and changed until all three were on mshome. I kept putzing around until my laptop connected remotely to my xp desktop. Still there is no icon for that machine.

If you open Windows Explorer (Windows key + E) does the XP desktop show up under Network? If so you might just copy the icon here onto the desktop.

On my PC's I have an icon for Network, not each individual PC. To see the individual PC's I just click on the Network icon. Any PC which is powered up will show on the Window.
