    Charts (Excel 97)

I can't get excel to stop resizing charts. I have used the standard drag sizing approach, and I have also written macros that are (supposedly) able to read and set the chart area size and plot area size. The results are the same. I can make consecutive printouts of the charts that overlay on a light table perfectly. But, if I save and reopen the workbook, or move it to another computer, the size of the chart has changed a little so that the printouts no longer match. And Excel seems inconsistent with how it resizes the plot area of a chart when changing the overall size. Is this a known bug? Is this improved in 2000 or XP?

So what happens if you put the charts on chart sheet?
Sizing charts is a real PITA as you have discovered.
