    Does Windows 7 include DVD CD writing software?

    Sure, don't know how well it works but go to any folder that has the items for burning and there should be a menu item along the top of the data window that says BURN.

    You can do basic burning with the 7 software.

    For anything more you will need a third party program. CDBurnerXP is a full featured free burning program that works well with Win7.

    The basic burning features work quite well. I haven't needed anything else since upgrading to Windows 7.

    Win 7 also contains an ISO burner - right-click and ISO file and select Open With | Windows DiscImage burn.

    Also, I second the recommendation on CDBurnerXP, definitely worth installing.
