I have Win 7 32 bit installed, on the disk of course is 64 bit Win 7. Can I reinstall the 64 bit over the 32 bit and not lose ny programs, etc.

    Thank You Eugene

You cannot upgrade, you will have to do a clean install, which means you will end up with a brand new windows install, all programs gone. The only way not to lose your programs and have them moved to the 64 bit install, is to use something like Laplink's PC Mover.
I used PC Mover to upgrade from 32 bit XP to 64 bit Windows 7 and it worked quite well.

Yes, I also used PC mover and it worked great going from XP32 bit to W7 64 bit...

I would suggest updating all your drivers first.
I upgraded my ASUS drivers and I found that the 64 bit drivers are 32/64 bit so I had no problem there.
