Am copying a chart in Excel 2007 and pasting it into PowerPoint 2007. Have tried the Paste/Special, Paste as Link option. Have also tried Paste and then Using Paste Options to link. When the chart first copies, the formatting looks ok. After clicking away or going to another slide, when I come back, the Plot Area Headings are squished into the data.

After you open this attachment, click on to the next slide. Then go back to the first slide to see the headings messed up.

It is certainly reproducible on my system, it seems to be a conflict between the 3D chart type and the data table. If I change the chart type to a flat column chart the problem disappears.

The same thing happened to me today when I created a 3-D chart from within PowerPoint. If I do a print preview or a slideshow, the text that heads each column shifts down. As a flat chart it seems OK. See attached.

    A bug???
