Somehow this week I have wound up with the Widgi Toolbar downloaded onto my computer.

I have looked for the registry entries that some websites say to delete to get rid of it, but those entries are not in my Windows 7 Pro machine. My guess is that that those entries were for Windows XP.

The darn thing makes Yahoo my default search engine, no matter what I do. I do not want Yahoo anything on my computer.

    Suggestions?

Have you tried disabling the addon in IE and then using Control Panel | Uninstall a program?

Have you tried running an anti-malware scan?

As Joe suggests, run a scan using MalwareBytes (free) but make sure you update it first before initiating the scan.
