I guess I have had an excel based virus for a while. I made the mistake of ignoring a warning and now it comes up almost every time I open excel 97 on my personal computer. Best I can tell is that it is a formula virus.

Which tool does the best at finding the infected files?
How do I either repair the files or at least recover the information from the files?
Would upgrading excel overcome the problem allowing me to retain the file functionality?

    1) What is the warning message(s) that you get?
    2) Is the warning coming from Excel or from your anti-virus program?
    3) What version of Windows is being used?

FYI, there is no such thing as a formula virus.
