I installed and ran EMET (Enhanced Mitigation Experience Toolkit) v2.0 and then I could no longer sync my Palm Centro with my computer. I have since uninstalled EMET and restored to a point just prior to installing EMET. But I still cannot sync my device. I cannot even install the Palm software. I uninstalled it using Revo (I could not uninstall it just with Windows Add/Remove Programs). So now I have no Palm software and no way to install it. Is it possible that EMET changed something? If so, how can I get it back?

I have successfully installed the Palm software in my Windows XP Mode, but even there I cannot sync.

    Any ideas?

Fixed now. I had to reinstall EMET and set all settings to Recommended. Evidently EMET changes something in firmware or registry or something that persists after uninstalling.

Additional problem with EMET. Something prevented Windows 7 from offering me updates. It kept offering the same one over and over again. Finally I restored to a disk image from before I ran EMET, restored data files, and now Windows update works properly. I recommend not touching EMET with a ten-foot pole.
