    Hi Excel Experts,

I have a cell with test contents that have few characters bold and some coloured.

I would like to use a formula in another cell to call this text along with the formatting is this possible.

    for e.g.

    cell A1 = Impact : Too High

in cell b1 i use the formula =A1 and i need the output with the formatting

    Is this possible?

    Thanks

My first response is no - I don't think so, you'd need to split the results into two cells. Or possibly add some VBA to the spreadsheet.

I'm willing to be wrong about this.

No, you can't. A formula can only return one set of formatting, so you would have to convert to hardcoded values or use a picture of the original cell.
